The sculpture is inspired by Conway's Game of Life. Cells evolve on a wrapping grid, and each generation becomes a layer in the artwork. Bright living cells sit above a fading archive. Scrolling separates and twists the layers, revealing the history of the cellular world. Moving your pointer or touching the surface seeds new cells.
Hovering or focusing a contact link rearranges the sculpture into that profile's icon. On a touchscreen, tap a profile to preview it and tap the same profile again to follow its link. The animation pauses when the page is hidden and respects reduced-motion preferences. The contact links remain usable without JavaScript or WebGL, with a still image replacing the moving sculpture.
